Vaughn Charles

Vaughn Charles was trained by the Vigil at an early age. His parents retired from the Vigil ranks when his older sister was born. They wanted their children to have an opportunity to have a normal life. As the world grew more dangerous, Vaughn’s father was called back into the service of the Vigil and he would often spend days, if not weeks, at a time on missions for the Vigil. While he was away, Vaughn’s mother trained him and his siblings to defend themselves. Out of all his siblings, Vaughn showed the most aptitude for aeromancy.

During his teens, he found an opportunity to train with active Vigil task forces. Growing up in Colorado allowed him to train with Grant Ryder. Grant trained him personally while he was getting his high school education, and after the others went to war. When the other Vigil he trained with went to Lunos to fight the Renewing, Vaughn was left behind. Staying on Earth made him train harder, to prove to himself he was as good as the others. He became an accomplished aeromancer, known for his capabilities throughout the rest of the Vigil. As the war progressed, Vaughn was entrusted with the legendary weapon, Zephyr, two-disc blades connected with a chain, and promoted to the rank of Seraph.

Vaughn is always looking to do good. It wasn’t like he spent his time looking for fights or problems, but they had a way to find him. In every fight, he managed to end up on the side of the underdogs, fighting for the just cause. For those who couldn’t take care of themselves. Earning him the title of The Welcoming Wind. Vaughn is quick and clever, finding himself in situations too big for himself to handle.

Since the fall of the Kamifa Kingdom, Vaughn has found himself all over the world on various missions. From working in his hometown of Denver, to South America, Europe, and everywhere in between. He never seemed to stay in the same spot for more than a few weeks at a time. He takes missions from the Kamifa remnant through Amanda Woods and from Jeremiah Jorah, leader of the Vigil.
